{"id":12869,"date":"2026-06-25T16:24:10","date_gmt":"2026-06-25T19:24:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=12869"},"modified":"2026-06-25T16:24:11","modified_gmt":"2026-06-25T19:24:11","slug":"rcmp-investigate-fatal-three-vehicle-collision-in-antigonish-county","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2026\/06\/25\/rcmp-investigate-fatal-three-vehicle-collision-in-antigonish-county\/","title":{"rendered":"RCMP Investigate Fatal Three Vehicle Collision in Antigonish County."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Antigonish County District RCMP is investigating a fatal collision involving three vehicles that occurred on Hwy. 104 near Beaver Meadow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On June 24 at approximately 2:25 p.m., RCMP, fire services, and EHS responded to a report of a multi-vehicle collision in the westbound lanes of Hwy. 104, between exits 30 and 31.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Officers learned that a Dodge Ram 2500 towing a trailer rearended a Honda CRV as traffic was slowed near a construction zone. The Honda CRV was pushed forward and struck a semi trailer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The driver of the Honda CRV, a 67-year-old man, and the passenger, a 59-year-old woman, both from Paq\u2019tnkek, were pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There were no injuries reported by the drivers or passengers of other vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene.
