{"id":13543,"date":"2026-09-23T09:03:31","date_gmt":"2026-09-23T12:03:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=13543"},"modified":"2026-09-23T09:03:33","modified_gmt":"2026-09-23T12:03:33","slug":"24-year-old-woman-charged-with-impaired-driving-after-single-vehicle-cash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2026\/09\/23\/24-year-old-woman-charged-with-impaired-driving-after-single-vehicle-cash\/","title":{"rendered":"24 Year Old Woman Charged With Impaired Driving After Single Vehicle Cash."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment arrested a woman for impaired driving following a single-vehicle crash in Brookvale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On September 18, at approximately 9 p.m., RCMP and fire services responded to a report of a vehicle crash in the 100-200 block of Canada Rd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Upon arrival, officers located a Mazda 3 that had hit split a power pole, resulting in a power outage. An officer spoke with the driver and observed signs of impairment. A roadside breath test was given to the driver, which resulted in a fail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The driver, a 24-year-old woman from Brookvale, was arrested for impaired driving. She was transported to the Enfield RCMP Detachment where she provided two breath samples registering 150 mg% and 140 mg%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The woman was released and is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court at a later date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Road safety is a shared responsibility. Before consuming alcohol or drugs, plan ahead for a safe ride.
