{"id":5020,"date":"2023-02-06T12:30:10","date_gmt":"2023-02-06T15:30:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=5020"},"modified":"2023-02-06T12:30:14","modified_gmt":"2023-02-06T15:30:14","slug":"rcmp-investigating-a-motor-vehicle-crash-on-sherbrooke-road-in-eden-lake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2023\/02\/06\/rcmp-investigating-a-motor-vehicle-crash-on-sherbrooke-road-in-eden-lake\/","title":{"rendered":"RCMP Investigating a Motor Vehicle Crash on Sherbrooke Road in Eden Lake."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Pictou County District RCMP is investigating a motor vehicle crash that occurred on Sherbrooke Rd. in Eden Lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On February 5, 2023, at approximately 12:15 a.m., Pictou County District RCMP, fire and EHS responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Sherbrooke Rd. in Eden Lake. RCMP officers learned that a Toyota Corolla had been travelling on Sherbrooke Rd. when it left the roadway and struck a ditch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A passenger, a 16-year-old from Pictou, was ejected from the vehicle and sustained life-threatening injuries. They were transported to local hospital by EHS and then transferred to a hospital in Halifax by LifeFlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 18-year-old driver from Scotch Hill and a second passenger, a 17-year-old from Pictou, suffered minor injuries and were transported to hospital. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sherbrooke Rd. was closed temporarily but has since reopened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Source : Release <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pictou County District RCMP is investigating a motor vehicle crash that occurred on Sherbrooke Rd. in Eden Lake.
