On February 16, 2023, at 8:10 a.m., New Glasgow Regional Police, New Glasgow Fire Department, New Glasgow Regional Police Major Crime and Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit responded to a fire at a James Street apartment backyard fire. During the investigation police identified a 36-year-old male Tristan James Marchand from Pictou County who was wanted on a province-wide arrest warrant for<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7 Assault with a Weapon
\u00b7 Uttering Threats
\u00b7 Possession of a Weapon Dangerous
\u00b7 Failure to Comply with the Release Order<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was also charged for two counts of failure to comply with the release order and obstruction of a police officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was remanded into custody and will be appearing in Pictou Provincial Court on Wednesday February 22, 2023 and Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court on Tuesday February 21, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
