Pictou County District RCMP is investigating a serious crash that occurred on Gairloch Rd. in Union Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On August 17, 2023, at approximately 11:45 p.m., Pictou County District RCMP, fire and EHS, responded to a report of a crash on Gairloch Rd. in Union Centre. RCMP officers learned that a Kia Rio was travelling on Gairloch Rd., when it left the road, went through a ditch, across a private property and came to rest in a tree line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Rio was occupied by six people at the time of the crash, four females and two males. All six suffered injuries, ranging from minor to life-threatening, and were transported to hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gairloch Rd. was closed for several hours but has since reopened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
