On Saturday October 7, 2023, at approximately 2:20 a.m., New Glasgow Regional Police (NGRP) responded to a bomb threat at the Aberdeen Hospital, East River Road New Glasgow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hospital staff advised police that they received a call from a female advising them of a bomb in the building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
NGRP officers attended the hospital and staff conducted a thorough search of the hospital complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No suspicious package or device was located.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Inside the hospital, patients and staff were not evacuated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This incident remains under investigation by the New Glasgow Regional Police Major Crime Unit, where the female caller could face False Information and Public Mischief charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
