New Glasgow Regional Police have charged a 42-year-old female of Pictou County in relation to a bomb threat that occurred in New Glasgow on Saturday October 7, 2023, at approximately 2:20 a.m..<\/p>\n\n\n\n
New Glasgow Regional Police (NGRP) responded to the bomb threat at the Aberdeen Hospital, East River Road New Glasgow, where hospital staff advised police that they received a call from a female advising them of a bomb in the building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
NGRP officers attended the hospital and staff conducted a thorough search of the hospital complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No suspicious package or device was located.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Inside the hospital, patients and staff were not evacuated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of the investigation New Glasgow Regional Police Criminal Investigations Unit with assistance of New Glasgow Regional Police Patrol Unit arrested a 42-year-old female at her residence in Springville, N.S..<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Aberdeen Hospital was cleared safe and the bomb threat was false.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
