RCMP officers learned that a Ford Edge was travelling on the highway when it struck the driver of a parked Kia Soul, who had exited their vehicle and was speaking with another motorist parked behind them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The driver of the Kia, a&nbsp;73-year-old Digby woman,&nbsp;was&nbsp;pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger of the vehicle, a&nbsp;74-year-old Digby man, was not injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The driver of the Ford, a&nbsp;76-year-old Kings County woman, did not suffer injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The motorist, parked behind the Kia, did not suffer injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hwy.\u00a0101\u00a0was closed for\u00a0several hours, but has since reopened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Source : RCMP Release <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday, at approximately&nbsp;1:45&nbsp;p.m.,&nbsp;Meteghan RCMP, fire and EHS, responded to a report of a collision on Hwy.&nbsp;101.
