{"id":5642,"date":"2023-10-22T15:07:17","date_gmt":"2023-10-22T18:07:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=5642"},"modified":"2023-10-22T15:07:42","modified_gmt":"2023-10-22T18:07:42","slug":"3-fatalities-in-highway-collision","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2023\/10\/22\/3-fatalities-in-highway-collision\/","title":{"rendered":"Three Fatalities in Highway Collision."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"\">Cumberland County District RCMP is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Hwy. 2 in Fort Lawrence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">On October 21, 2023, at approximately 10:05 p.m., Cumberland County District RCMP, fire and EHS, responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Hwy. 2 in Fort Lawrence. RCMP officers learned that an SUV and a car had been travelling on Hwy. 2 when they collided. The SUV and car came to rest in the road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">There were four people in the SUV at the time of the collision, a 21-year-old woman, a 26-year-old man, a 43-year-old woman and a 2-month old infant. The infant, man and 43-year-old woman were all pronounced deceased at the scene. The 21-year-old woman suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital by ambulance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">There were two people in the car at the time of the collision, a 19-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man. The woman suffered serious injuries and the man suffered minor injuries. Both transported to hospital by ambulance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Hwy. 2 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Source: Release <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cumberland County District RCMP is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Hwy. 2 in Fort Lawrence.
