Halifax District RCMP is investigating a home invasion that occurred at a home on St. Margaret’s Bay Rd. in Upper Tantallon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On January 1, 2024, at approximately 11:47 p.m., Halifax District RCMP responded to a report of a home invasion on St. Margaret’s Bay Rd. in Upper Tantallon. RCMP officers learned that two men entered the home and restrained a man and a woman. The suspects then took several items including cash before fleeing the home in a black 2022 Chevrolet Silverado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The victims were able to free themselves and contact police. The victims were not physically injured and were the only occupants of the home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Silverado was located a short time later on Hwy. 103 near exit 2. The vehicle was seized and will be processed by the RCMP Forensic Identification Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Halifax District RCMP members, assisted by the Halifax Regional Police, patrolled the area but the suspects were not located.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspects were wearing ski masks and dark coloured hoodies, one man is described as being 6-foot-3 and the other one 5-foot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
