{"id":6118,"date":"2024-01-18T17:08:01","date_gmt":"2024-01-18T20:08:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=6118"},"modified":"2024-01-18T17:08:02","modified_gmt":"2024-01-18T20:08:02","slug":"48-year-old-ontario-man-charged-with-impaired-driving","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2024\/01\/18\/48-year-old-ontario-man-charged-with-impaired-driving\/","title":{"rendered":"48 Year Old Ontario Man Charged With Impaired Driving."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On January&nbsp;10, at approximately&nbsp;9:50&nbsp;p.m., RCMP NETS-CB responded to a complaint of a car travelling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Hwy.&nbsp;125.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With assistance from the Cape Breton Regional Police Service, RCMP officers successfully stopped the vehicle, a Toyota Corolla, after it nearly collided with an RCMP cruiser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The driver and sole occupant of the Corolla,&nbsp;48-year-old Robert Peach of Toronto, showed signs of impairment. He was arrested and transported to the NETS-CB office where he provided breath samples that registered at&nbsp;270mg% and&nbsp;250mg%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Peach was released from custody and will appear in Sydney Provincial Court on February&nbsp;27, at&nbsp;9:30&nbsp;a.m., to face charges of Impaired Operation of a Conveyance and Impaired Operation Equal to, or Over,&nbsp;80mg%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Road safety is a priority for the Nova Scotia RCMP.
