New Glasgow Regional Police has charged a Pictou County man with impaired driving charges and firearm charge, following a report of a possible impaired driver in Pictou County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Saturday March 2, at approximately 3:42 p.m., New Glasgow Regional Police responded to report of a possible impaired driver near exit 23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
New Glasgow Regional Police located the suspect vehicle on Westville Road and conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle with description the 2013 GMC Sierra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Upon investigation the driver of 2013 GMC Sierra was arrested for Impaired Driving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During a search of the vehicle, police located and seized two firearms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a result, the 39-year-old man was charged with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Driving a Conveyance While Impaired
Operating a Conveyance With a Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80mg.
Two Counts of Unsafe Storage of a Firearm
He was released on an Undertaking and will be appearing in Provincial Court in Pictou on May 13, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
