{"id":6582,"date":"2024-03-21T13:26:38","date_gmt":"2024-03-21T16:26:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=6582"},"modified":"2024-03-21T13:26:39","modified_gmt":"2024-03-21T16:26:39","slug":"good-news-for-airbnb-owners-registration-extended","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2024\/03\/21\/good-news-for-airbnb-owners-registration-extended\/","title":{"rendered":"Good News For Airbnb Owners: Registration Extended."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Current registration for tourist accommodations, short-term rentals and accommodation platforms, such as Airbnb and Expedia, will be extended to September to give visitors and hosts more time to adapt to new regulations coming this fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cChanges coming for short-term rentals like Airbnbs will see higher fees and enforcement that will help make more long-term housing available to Nova Scotians,\u201d said John Lohr, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing. \u201cThese are comprehensive changes that require careful planning and coordination. We want to ensure people can plan for the season ahead while this important work progresses.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Registration for the 2024-25 season will open by this fall.
