{"id":6679,"date":"2024-03-31T13:49:05","date_gmt":"2024-03-31T16:49:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=6679"},"modified":"2024-03-31T13:49:06","modified_gmt":"2024-03-31T16:49:06","slug":"police-investigate-fatal-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2024\/03\/31\/police-investigate-fatal-crash\/","title":{"rendered":"Police Investigate Fatal Crash."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>RCMP Northeast Traffic Services \u2013 Cape Breton, with assistance of Cape Breton Regional Police Service, is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on 125 Hwy. near Point Edward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On March 30, just before 6 p.m., RCMP Northeast Traffic Services \u2013 Cape Breton, Cape Breton Regional Police Service, fire and EHS, responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on Hwy. 125 near Point Edward. Upon arrival at the scene, officers observed a Honda Civic with extensive damage consistent with having overturned. There were no other vehicles involved in the crash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The driver and sole occupant of the Civic, a 20-year-old Sydney man, had been ejected from the car. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the crash.
