On April 4, at approximately 11 a.m., fire services, followed by Guysborough County District RCMP, responded to an active structure fire at a property near the 6700 block of Hwy. 16 in Halfway Cove.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Upon arrival at the scene, RCMP officers found firefighters working to extinguish flames at an unoccupied residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Based on the information and evidence gathered at the home, the fire has been deemed suspicious in nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The investigation, led by Guysborough County District RCMP, is ongoing; the Office of the Fire Marshal is assisting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
