{"id":7014,"date":"2024-05-06T16:40:43","date_gmt":"2024-05-06T19:40:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=7014"},"modified":"2024-05-06T16:42:18","modified_gmt":"2024-05-06T19:42:18","slug":"fatal-head-on-collision-in-lochaber","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2024\/05\/06\/fatal-head-on-collision-in-lochaber\/","title":{"rendered":"Police Investigate Fatal Head On Collision in Lochaber."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Antigonish County District RMP&nbsp;is investigating a fatal collision that occurred in Lochaber.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yesterday, at approximately&nbsp;3:10&nbsp;p.m., Antigonish County District RMP,&nbsp;fire, and EHS, responded to a report&nbsp;of a two-vehicle collision on Hwy.&nbsp;7, near the&nbsp;400&nbsp;block. RCMP officers&nbsp;learned that a black Toyota Rav4&nbsp;was travelling north and a white GMC Terrain was travelling south when they collided head on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The passenger of the GMC, a&nbsp;70-year-old Bickerton West woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle, a&nbsp;74-year-old Bickerton West man, suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by LifeFlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The five occupants of the Toyota, a&nbsp;31-year old man, a&nbsp;25-year-old man, a&nbsp;30-year-old woman and two children, all from Antigonish, suffered serious injuries.
