Police have charged two additional youths in separate incidents where threats were made toward schools in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On May 10, investigators from the General Investigation Section of the Criminal Investigation Division charged a 13-year-old youth in relation to a threats complaint that occurred at Rocky Lake Junior High School on May 3. Another 13-year-old youth was charged in relation to a threats complaint that occurred at Fairview Junior High School on May 1. The two youths are scheduled to appear in Halifax Youth Justice Court at a later date to face charges of mischief and uttering threats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On May 9, investigators arrested and charged a 15-year-old youth and a 16-year-old youth in relation to an incident that occurred at J.L. Ilsley High School on May 7. Since April 1, Halifax Regional Police and the RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment received 25 separate incidents where messages have been left in schools throughout the region referring to explosive devices in the buildings. On each occasion police attended the school and checked the premises, with the assistance of school officials, and were unable to locate safety concerns. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
