{"id":7400,"date":"2024-06-10T19:53:38","date_gmt":"2024-06-10T22:53:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=7400"},"modified":"2024-06-10T19:53:39","modified_gmt":"2024-06-10T22:53:39","slug":"three-people-charged-with-various-serious-offences","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2024\/06\/10\/three-people-charged-with-various-serious-offences\/","title":{"rendered":"Three People Charged with Various Serious Offences."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment has charged three people with firearms offences following a disturbance in #Timberlea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On June 6, just after midnight, members from the RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment responded to an apartment complex on St. Margaret\u2019s Bay Rd. after someone reported hearing a man yelling about having a gun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through investigation, officers identified a nearby parked vehicle as being involved. The two occupants, a 25-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man, were arrested for having open liquor in the vehicle. Police searched the vehicle and located a modified firearm, ammunition, and a small quantity of what is believed to be crystal methamphetamine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A third suspect, a 31-year-old man, was located nearby and also safely arrested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dakoda Foeller, 31, Brian Christmas, 36, and Makayla Augustine, 25, have been charged with multiple weapons offences:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Careless Use of a Firearm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unsafe Storage Contrary to Regulations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of a Firearm Knowing it is Unauthorized<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unauthorized Possession in Motor Vehicle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of a Restricted or Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of a Firearm Obtained by the Commission of an Offence<br>Additionally, the following charges have been laid:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Dakoda Foeller<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use of a Firearm in the Commission of an Offence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Driving While Disqualified<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession Contrary to a Firearm Prohibition Order (two counts)<br>Brian Christmas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession Contrary to a Firearm Prohibition Order<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carrying a Concealed Weapon<br>Makayla Augustine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carrying a Concealed Weapon<br>Foeller and Christmas were remanded into custody, to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on June 10, at 9:30 a.m.<br>Augustine was released on conditions to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on July 3 at 9:30 a.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Source: RCMP Release <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment has charged three people with firearms offences following a disturbance in #Timberlea.
