{"id":7453,"date":"2024-06-14T17:00:38","date_gmt":"2024-06-14T20:00:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=7453"},"modified":"2024-06-14T17:00:39","modified_gmt":"2024-06-14T20:00:39","slug":"man-wanted-on-two-province-wide-arrest-warrants-after-motor-vehicle-collision","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2024\/06\/14\/man-wanted-on-two-province-wide-arrest-warrants-after-motor-vehicle-collision\/","title":{"rendered":"Man Wanted on Two Province-Wide Arrest Warrants After Motor Vehicle Collision."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Cumberland County District RCMP is seeking information on the whereabouts of a man currently wanted on a province-wide arrest warrant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The warrant has been issued after Cumberland County District RCMP responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a truck and an ATV in the 1200 block of Pugwash River Rd. on June 13, shortly before 6:30 p.m., in Pugwash River.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The investigation indicates the driver and sole occupant of the truck, a 30-year-old man from Pugwash, had been cut-off by an ATV and then run off the road. The driver of the ATV then pointed a firearm at him before leaving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Garnett Allan Chappell, 36, of Wentworth, is wanted for multiple charges, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pointing a Firearm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Careless Use of a Firearm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unlawful Confinement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dangerous Operation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Failing to Stop after an Accident Resulting in Bodily Harm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Failure to Comply with Undertaking<br>He is described as being 5-foot-7, 110 lbs. He has thinning red hair, blue eyes, and a crescent-shaped moon tattoo beside his right eye. He is believed to be travelling in a 2008, blue Ford Ranger with a white box, red tool box in the bed, and NS plate GME 122.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Chappell is also wanted on a province-wide arrest warrant from May 27 for failing to appear in court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Investigators have made several attempts to locate Chappell, and are requesting assistance from the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/FB_IMG_1718394912660.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7454\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/FB_IMG_1718394917767-1024x860.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7455\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Garnett Allan Chappell is asked not to approach him and to contact the Cumberland County District RCMP at 902-667-3859.
