{"id":7497,"date":"2024-06-19T12:58:02","date_gmt":"2024-06-19T15:58:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=7497"},"modified":"2024-06-19T12:58:04","modified_gmt":"2024-06-19T15:58:04","slug":"fatal-incident-involving-71-year-old-on-a-gas-powered-bicycle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2024\/06\/19\/fatal-incident-involving-71-year-old-on-a-gas-powered-bicycle\/","title":{"rendered":"Fatal Incident Involving 71 Year Old on a Gas-Powered Bicycle."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Annapolis County District RCMP is seeking the public&#8217;s help with investigating a fatal incident involving a gas-powered bicycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On June&nbsp;17, Annapolis County District RCMP learned that a&nbsp;71-year-old man from Annapolis Royal had been taken to Halifax by Lifeflight for treatment of serious injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was believed he may have fallen from a gas-powered bicycle while riding on Hwy.&nbsp;201, around&nbsp;2:00&nbsp;p.m. the same day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On June&nbsp;18, officers learned the man had died in hospital as a result of his injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Annapolis County District RCMP is looking to speak with people who may have witnessed the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the gas-powered bicycle has not been recovered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/tupperville_bike.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7498\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of the gas-powered bicycle is asked to contact the Annapolis County District RCMP at\u00a0902-665-4481.
