{"id":7786,"date":"2024-07-09T15:41:12","date_gmt":"2024-07-09T18:41:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=7786"},"modified":"2024-07-09T15:41:13","modified_gmt":"2024-07-09T18:41:13","slug":"19-year-old-wanted-on-province-wide-arrest-warrant-for-multiple-offences","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2024\/07\/09\/19-year-old-wanted-on-province-wide-arrest-warrant-for-multiple-offences\/","title":{"rendered":"19 Year Old Wanted on Province-Wide Arrest Warrant For Multiple Offences."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Inverness County District RCMP has charged two people in relation to a break and enter into a business in Whycocomagh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On June 26, just before midnight, Inverness County District RCMP responded to an intrusion alarm at a business in the 9000-block of Hwy. 105.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officers attended and confirmed that the business had been broken into and multiple firearms and ammunition had been stolen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the assistance of RCMP Police Dog Services, officers searched the area and were able to recover five firearms and some ammunition. Four firearms are still believed to be missing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the investigation, officers identified two people of interest, and on June 30 executed a search warrant at a home in Waycobah where a 14-year-old youth was safely arrested. The youth has been charged with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Break and Entering to Steal Firearm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contravenes a Regulation to Store, Handle, Transport, Ship, Display Firearm (5 counts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of Weapon Obtained by Commission of Offence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Theft (over $5,000)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of Property Obtained by Crime<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The youth has been released on conditions pending their next court appearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second suspect, 19-year-old Colby Paul of Waycobah, has been charged with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Break and Entering to Steal Firearm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contravenes a Regulation to Store, Handle, Transport, Ship, Display Firearm (5 counts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of Weapon Obtained by Commission of Offence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession Contrary to Order (10 counts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Theft (over $5,000)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Breach of Probation (10 counts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mischief<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A province-wide arrest warrant has been issued for Paul.
