{"id":8037,"date":"2024-07-24T12:47:05","date_gmt":"2024-07-24T15:47:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=8037"},"modified":"2024-07-24T12:50:26","modified_gmt":"2024-07-24T15:50:26","slug":"one-person-charged-after-home-invasion-and-robbery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2024\/07\/24\/one-person-charged-after-home-invasion-and-robbery\/","title":{"rendered":"One Person Charged After Home Invasion and Robbery."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Kings District RCMP has charged one person with multiple offences after a home invasion in Morden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On July&nbsp;19&nbsp;at approximately&nbsp;9:45&nbsp;p.m., Kings District RCMP received a report of a home invasion and robbery that had just occurred on Lower St. Two men entered a residence, assaulted a man inside, then took items from the residence and fled in a vehicle. The male victim suffered minor injuries. No weapons were reportedly used during this incident and another person inside the house at the time was not injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One suspect was identified as Keith Chamberlain,&nbsp;52, of North Kentville. On July&nbsp;20, Kentville Police Services located Chamberlain during a traffic stop on Belcher St. in Kentville, and he was arrested without incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chamberlain has been charged with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assault causing bodily harm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assault by choking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Theft Under\u00a0$5000<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mischief<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Uttering threats<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Robbery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Break and Enter with Intent<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>He appeared in Windsor Provincial Court on July&nbsp;21&nbsp;and was remanded into custody. At a subsequent court appearance on July&nbsp;22, he was released by the courts on conditions pending future court appearances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second suspect related to this incident has not yet been arrested or charged, and Kings District RCMP continues to investigate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The victim and suspects are believed to be known to each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone with further information about this incident is asked to contact Kings District RCMP at&nbsp;902-765-3317.
