{"id":8142,"date":"2024-07-31T15:21:55","date_gmt":"2024-07-31T18:21:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=8142"},"modified":"2024-07-31T15:22:13","modified_gmt":"2024-07-31T18:22:13","slug":"rcmp-charge-a-man-with-attempt-to-commit-murder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2024\/07\/31\/rcmp-charge-a-man-with-attempt-to-commit-murder\/","title":{"rendered":"RCMP charge a man with Attempt to Commit Murder."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A man has been charged with Attempt to Commit Murder following a serious incident in Rockdale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On July&nbsp;29, at approximately&nbsp;9:30&nbsp;a.m., Richmond County District RCMP responded to an altercation at a home near Hwy.&nbsp;247.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RCMP officers learned that following the altercation outside of the residence, a man threatened and assaulted a woman who was known to him with a knife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;33-year-old victim from Rockdale suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by EHS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the home, officers safely located and arrested&nbsp;27-year-old Patrick Paul Taylor of L&#8217;Ardoise. He was charged with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Attempt to Commit Murder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assault Causing Bodily Harm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assault with a Weapon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Uttering Threats<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mischief<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Failure to Comply with an Undertaking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Taylor appeared in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court and was remanded into custody.
