{"id":8162,"date":"2024-08-02T08:14:29","date_gmt":"2024-08-02T11:14:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=8162"},"modified":"2024-08-02T08:14:31","modified_gmt":"2024-08-02T11:14:31","slug":"79-year-old-man-charged-with-ten-criminal-code-offences","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2024\/08\/02\/79-year-old-man-charged-with-ten-criminal-code-offences\/","title":{"rendered":"79 Year Old Man Charged With Ten Criminal Code Offences."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Annapolis District RCMP has charged a man with ten Criminal Code offences following an incident at a Clementsvale home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On July 29, Annapolis District RCMP, the Nova Scotia RCMP Emergency Response Team, and Police Dog Services, responded to a report of an individual firing shots at a vehicle driven by a woman he knew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon arrival at the residence, officers safely arrested a 79-year-old man. A search warrant was later executed and two firearms and a quantity of ammunition were seized.<br>Roland Chester Potter of Clementsvale has been charged with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assault<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Failure to Comply with a Probation Order<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Discharging a Firearm with Intent<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Careless Use of a Firearm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized (two counts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (two counts)<br>Unsafe Storage of Firearm (two counts)<br>The investigation, assisted by RCMP Forensic Identification Services, continues. Potter appeared in Annapolis Royal Provincial Court and was remanded into custody.
