{"id":8191,"date":"2024-08-04T12:56:51","date_gmt":"2024-08-04T15:56:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=8191"},"modified":"2024-08-04T12:56:53","modified_gmt":"2024-08-04T15:56:53","slug":"fatal-collision-between-a-vehicle-and-cyclist-is-being-investigated","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2024\/08\/04\/fatal-collision-between-a-vehicle-and-cyclist-is-being-investigated\/","title":{"rendered":"Fatal Collision Between a Vehicle and Cyclist is Being Investigated."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A fatal collision between a vehicle and a cyclist is being investigated by the Cumberland County District RCMP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On August&nbsp;3, at approximately&nbsp;10:30&nbsp;a.m., RCMP officers, fire services, and EHS responded to a report of a collision near the&nbsp;6500&nbsp;block of Hwy.&nbsp;366&nbsp;in Amherst Shore. Officers learned that a Honda Odyssey was travelling east on the highway when it collided with a bicycle that was also travelling east.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cyclist, a&nbsp;39-year-old Wolfville man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The driver of the Honda, a&nbsp;32-year-old Amherst woman, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital by EHS. Three passengers in the vehicle, all children, were not physically injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hwy.&nbsp;366&nbsp;was closed for several hours, but has since reopened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Source : RCMP Release <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A fatal collision between a vehicle and a cyclist is being investigated by the Cumberland County District RCMP.
