Provided to Groups Across Province Celebrating Acadian Culture."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Organizations across the province are celebrating Acadian culture with the support of provincial grants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cToday is National Acadian Day, honouring the rich history, distinct identity and vibrant traditions of the Acadian people, which date back four centuries,\u201d said Colton LeBlanc, Minister of Acadian Affairs and Francophonie, on behalf of Allan MacMaster, Minister of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage. \u201cThis investment demonstrates our commitment to preserving and promoting our heritage to ensure all Nova Scotians can celebrate our province\u2019s Acadian legacy and resilient spirit.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La F\u00e9d\u00e9ration culturelle acadienne de la Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse, dedicated to the promotion of Acadian culture and French language, received funding to support Acadians participating in the Oxford Food Symposium 2024 and to develop a cultural support program for French-speaking communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 historique acadienne de Pubnico-Ouest, with a mission to study the history of the Acadian people, particularly those living in the Pubnico and Yarmouth areas, received funding to participate in the Congr\u00e8s mondial acadien 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Conseil jeunesse provincial de la Nouvelle-Ecosse, which is committed to advocating for Acadian and French-speaking youth, received funding to help youth experience the Congr\u00e8s mondial acadien 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other people and organizations receiving provincial grants include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Phil Comeau, Nova Scotian film and television director, screenwriter and producer \u2013 create a documentary film featuring the young artists participating in the Congr\u00e8s mondial acadien 2024<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comit\u00e9 provincial des Jeux de l&#8217;Acadie, r\u00e9gion Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse \u2013 organize events for the 43rd Acadian Games<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Promotion Grand-Pr\u00e9 \u2013 organize Acadian Day 2024 celebration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>F\u00e9d\u00e9ration des parents acadiens de la Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse \u2013 40th anniversary celebration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Le fran\u00e7ais pour l&#8217;avenir\/French for the Future \u2013 help students attend and participate in educational workshops at a forum in Halifax<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cumberland Acadian Society \u2013 organize its annual Acadian festival<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 d&#8217;h\u00e9ritage acadien de Wedgeport \u2013 conduct a feasibility study focused on the use of a decommissioned church<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conseil communautaire du Grand-Havre \u2013 organize the Festival Quinzou 2024 at the Halifax waterfront<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conseil de d\u00e9veloppement \u00e9conomique de la Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse \u2013 create an action plan for marketing Acadian tourism<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Association Les Voix d&#8217;Acadie \u2013 participate in the the Congr\u00e8s mondial acadien 2024<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Saint Mary&#8217;s University \u2013 organize the Colloquium on Literary and Artistic Expressions of the Anthropo(s)cene event<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 acadienne de Clare \u2013 organize activities for Acadian Heritage Month 2024 and a literary project taking place during the Congr\u00e8s mondial acadien<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>La Baie en Joie \u2013 organize a 45th anniversary celebration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 La Vieille Maison \u2013 organize an Acadian Heritage Month 2024 exhibit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Centre communautaire culturel La Picasse\u2013 organize activities related to Acadian Heritage Month 2024 celebration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minudie Heritage Association \u2013 purchase a protective case for the aboiteau in the Cumberland County community<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mus\u00e9e des Acadiens des Pubnicos \u2013 organize au C\u0153ur de l&#8217;Acadie 2024
