{"id":8429,"date":"2024-08-20T16:01:34","date_gmt":"2024-08-20T19:01:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=8429"},"modified":"2024-08-20T16:01:35","modified_gmt":"2024-08-20T19:01:35","slug":"arrest-made-in-used-vehicle-sale-fraud-investigation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2024\/08\/20\/arrest-made-in-used-vehicle-sale-fraud-investigation\/","title":{"rendered":"Arrest Made in Used Vehicle Sale Fraud Investigation."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Nova Scotia RCMP Commercial Crime Section has arrested a man wanted for fraud-related offences that occurred between&nbsp;2019&nbsp;and&nbsp;2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nicholas Eugene Croscup,&nbsp;43, of Middle Sackville, was charged with multiple fraud-related offences that occurred between&nbsp;2019&nbsp;and&nbsp;2021&nbsp;in the communities of Mount Pleasant, Digby, Wolfville, Falmouth, Beaver Bank, Middle Sackville and Halifax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the investigations, it was determined that Croscup had falsely advertised used vehicles for sale, collected deposits from interested parties, then cut off contact without delivering the vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Multiple warrants for his arrest were issued after he failed to appear in court. It was believed that Croscup had left the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On August&nbsp;13,&nbsp;2024, the Nova Scotia RCMP Commercial Crime Section, with assistance from the Regina Police Service and the Regina Police Service Financial Crime Section, located Croscup at a residence in Regina, Saskatchewan, and arrested him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Croscup was escorted back to Nova Scotia and appeared in Dartmouth Provincial Court on August&nbsp;15&nbsp;and August&nbsp;19.
