{"id":8518,"date":"2024-08-26T15:32:00","date_gmt":"2024-08-26T18:32:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=8518"},"modified":"2024-08-26T15:33:03","modified_gmt":"2024-08-26T18:33:03","slug":"rcmp-investigate-fatal-vehicle-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2024\/08\/26\/rcmp-investigate-fatal-vehicle-crash\/","title":{"rendered":"RCMP Investigate Fatal Single Vehicle Crash."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Kings District RCMP is investigating a fatal crash the occurred in Berwick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On August&nbsp;25, at approximately&nbsp;3:55&nbsp;a.m., Kings District RCMP, fire and EHS responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Hwy&nbsp;101&nbsp;between exit&nbsp;14&nbsp;and exit&nbsp;15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicle, a&nbsp;2009&nbsp;Chevrolet Impala, was traveling eastbound on the highway when it veered off onto the right shoulder, rolled, and came to rest in the ditch on the north side of the road. Both occupants of the vehicle were transported to hospital. The driver, a&nbsp;35-year-old Halifax man, was pronounced deceased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene. Hwy.&nbsp;101&nbsp;between exits&nbsp;14&nbsp;and&nbsp;15&nbsp;was closed for several hours, and was reopened that day at approximately&nbsp;9:30&nbsp;a.m. The investigation, which is in its early stages, is ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No additional information will be released at this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Source : RCMP Release <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kings District RCMP is investigating a fatal crash the occurred in Berwick.
