The man and a child passenger had no reported injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On September&nbsp;4&nbsp;at approximately&nbsp;3:45&nbsp;p.m., West Hants RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle that had crashed in the ditch on Hwy.&nbsp;236&nbsp;near Scotch Village Station Rd. Both occupants, the man and a child, had safely exited the vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Investigators noted signs of impairment from the driver, and he failed a roadside breath test used to measure blood alcohol concentration. The child is not believed to have been secured in a child safety restraint &#8220;booster seat&#8221; at the time of the crash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The driver was arrested and will face charges of Impaired Operation of a Conveyance, Impaired Operation Equal to, or Over,&nbsp;80mg%, and Abandoning Child.
