{"id":9041,"date":"2024-10-03T13:04:05","date_gmt":"2024-10-03T16:04:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/?p=9041"},"modified":"2024-10-03T13:04:07","modified_gmt":"2024-10-03T16:04:07","slug":"four-people-aged-31-to-72-facing-serious-charges-after-investigation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpress.ca\/index.php\/2024\/10\/03\/four-people-aged-31-to-72-facing-serious-charges-after-investigation\/","title":{"rendered":"Four People Aged 31 to 72 Facing Serious Charges After Investigation."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>West Hants RCMP charges four people with drug trafficking<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>October 3, 2024, Windsor, Nova Scotia\u2026 West Hants RCMP has charged four people as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On September 27, the West Hants RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU), with assistance of the West Hants RCMP General Investigation Section, Valley Integrated SCEU and Kentville Police Service, executed a search warrant at a home on Victoria St. in relation to an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the search, officers located and seized cocaine, cash, prescription pills, cellphones, scales, baggies, and other items used in the production and distribution of cocaine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Samantha Michelle O\u2019Leary, 31; Barry Langille, 61; Stephen Terrance Loughran, 72, all of Windsor; and Ryan Patrick Walsh, 34, of Smiths Settlement, have each been charged with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of Property Obtained by Crime<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is the latest outcome of our continuing and collective investigational efforts, led by our street crime enforcement units, to address drug trafficking in and around West Hants,\u201d says S\/Sgt. Dave Ferguson, West Hants Detachment Commander.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O\u2019Leary appeared in court and was remanded into custody.
