Yarmouth Rural RCMP Detachment is investigating a fatal collision that occurred in Brooklyn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On November 4, 2024 at approximately 11:41 a.m., Yarmouth Rural RCMP, fire services, and EHS responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Greenville Rd. and Hardscratch Rd. in Brooklyn. RCMP officers learned that a Hyundai Accent and Ford Ranger collided in the intersection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The driver of the Accent, an 81-year-old woman from Yarmouth, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger in the Accent was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The driver of the Ranger suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by EHS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing. The intersection was closed for several hours but has since reopened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
