The RCMP\/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division is investigating a home invasion that occurred in East Preston.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This morning, at approximately 2:15 a.m., RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment responded to a report of a home invasion on Upper Partridge Rd. near Hwy. 7. Investigators learned that three men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, gained entry into the residence through a window, assaulted one of the three occupants and demanded money before fleeing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A 42-year-old man suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by EHS. The two other occupants of the home, a 48-year-old woman and a youth, did not suffer physical injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officers, assisted by RCMP Police Dog Services, patrolled the area but the suspects were not located.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The three male suspects wore black ski masks. Two of them were dressed in black, while the third was wearing a black and white jogging suit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The investigation, led by the General Investigative Section of the RCMP\/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, is ongoing. At this time, officers do not believe the incident was random.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
