727 Calls in One Police Jurisdiction This Past Weekend.
Halifax Regional Police responded to 727 calls for service over the weekend. Some notable calls are as follows:
Break and enter
On November 17, at approximately 11 p.m., officers responded to a break and enter in progress in the 100 to 150 block of Pinecrest Drive in Dartmouth. A man was observed attempting to break into a construction site. At approximately 11:10 p.m., officers, located and arrested the suspect.
The 38-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court at a later date to face one charge of break and enter with intent to commit offence and one charge of possession of break instruments.
Weapons
On November 18, at approximately 12:52 a.m., officers responded to a weapons call on McFatridge Road in Halifax. A driver for a food delivery service reported that a woman, who was not known to him, threatened him with a knife. At approximately 12:55 a.m. officers located and arrested the suspect.
The 27-year-old woman attended Halifax provincial court today to face the following charges:
- Robbery
- Assault with a weapon
- Uttering threats to cause bodily harm or death
- Possess weapon dangerous to public peace
- Carrying concealed weapon
