Police Respond to Stabbing at McDonalds Restaurant, Suspect Arrested.
On February 8 at approximately 7:15 p.m., officers responded to a report that someone had been stabbed at McDonalds, located at 5683 Spring Garden Road, in Halifax. The victim, a 19-year-old man, was transported to the hospital by EHS for what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
At approximately 7:25 p.m., officers located and arrested the suspect without incident near the intersection of Tower Road and Victoria Road.
The victim and suspect are not believed to be known to each other but are believed to have had a dispute leading up to the stabbing.
Brennen Herdman, 19, is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court today to face charges of:
- Attempted murder
- Aggravated assault
- Assault with a weapon
